Happy World Oceans Day
All the oceans of the earth are connected to each other, connected by the same essence; the flow of motion. And, dear Cooler, in that flow we find the pure beauty of being, nature and water.
Today we celebrate World Oceans Day. Oceans are responsible for producing at least 50 per cent of the planet’s oxygen. In addition, they are home to most of the earth’s biodiversity and the main source of protein for more than a billion people #aroundtheworld.
“The ocean: life and livelihoods” is the topic of World Oceans Day 2021. A year with many challenges to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal 14th: “Conserve and sustainably use Oceans, Seas and Marine resources” by 2030.
Aligned with this goal, from Cool Bottles we want to raise awareness and remark this issue of the highest importance. We must take care of what gives us life. Indeed, the oceans are the earth’s respiratory system: they generate oxygen for life and absorb carbon dioxide and waste. However, the plastic does not disappear, but the large fragments are broken into smaller ones, hence the microplastics are born.
The oceans connect us, no matter where we live. The ocean regulates the climate, produces oxygen, and helps feeding people. Everyone’s health depends on a clean and productive ocean. Are you going to miss the opportunity to be part of the change?
Replace those plastic bottles with a reusable #CoolBottles. Remember, Commitment-Conviction-Action, are the necessary ingredients to turn those small actions into responsible and sustainable actions to build that future we can imagine.
